INSIDE THOUGHTS

"Inside,"
The other side of out,
Is a window in the mind,
To be looked through,
Not something to be seen.

Eventually,
It's all about thoughts.

Thoughts,
Are the only guides through,
What otherwise would be,
An everlasting calm.

And when thoughts go soft,
Or settle as the same,
Where's the window then,
Into the nature of the mind?

Poetry must take me,
Where prose cannot:
Across the desert,
Of the thoughtless mind.
