TRUE WORDS
I find that it is only,
At the very edge of sense,
Where words break down,
That they release,
Their essence …
And that's the truth.
[The above poem speaks for itself, but the same idea in prose would read something like this:
Words are only as good as whatever sense they make, so the sense world is where we end up if we take words seriously -- experiences. Otherwise we are caught in the endless maze of understanding, which by definition takes forever because understanding is only a pointer, and never a destination. Be warned.
If we force words to fact, the only fact that matters is experience. And experience is just another kind of endless, until we realize its true nature.
This, to the best of my knowledge, is what the Buddhists teach.
Of course, in its own way, the photo says the same thing.]
