I have a bunch of things to do, so I will not have as much time to blog today. Here is a photo of Emma I took recently while we were all on a nature hike, and a story. I include a poem I wrote at Emma's birth. When Emma was born, of course we told Rinpoche (Ven. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche), since he has known Anne since she was very young. He gave Emma the dharma name of "Dharma Lake," and you know me. I had to write a poem about Emma coming into our lives. Here it is:


DHARMA LAKE

Your birth,
Pushing back,
The darkness.

Your activity,
Creating space,
Enough,
For all of us.

Your aura,
An envelope in time,
In which a family grows,
Closer.

We holding you,
You holding us,
Together.

Such gentleness.
